• This is the threaded bolt with a wing nut on top that goes through the spare tire hold down bracket.
  
  
• This is a new Mercedes part number 108 890 00 65 and replaces 108 890 00 38 which was used on some earlier models.
  
  
• This bolt has a black finish however on one of the bolt wing nuts a bronze color shows through so I am not sure what material these are made of.
  
  
• The threaded portion is 10mm thread and the bolt length below the wing nut is 100mm / 4" total, with 70mm / 2 3/4" thread.
  
  
• I am not certain, but I do not believe this is still available from Mercedes, but the local dealer sells it for $96.00 if it is available.
